We are funded by the Scottish government to offer free transition support specifically designed for you and your students.

This is an opportunity to access high-quality, engaging support without cost.

We will work flexibly to meet the needs of you and your students.

Planning Live sessions are usually delivered virtually for small groups. Larger taster sessions, for example assemblies can also be organised. Sessions have proven to be highly successful in starting conversations about transition in schools and colleges.

Sessions are up to one hour long and are designed to:

  • Be enjoyable and creative
  • Build students' confidence to communicate about themselves
  • Inspire staff to use person-centred planning approaches
  • Provide useful links to transition support

Outcomes

After taking part in a Planning Live group session we aim for young people go home with a Personal Plan to share with parents and carers.

They can also take up individual transition support through Time to Talk Next Steps Scotland, a tried and tested programme which provides direct, flexible support for young people aged 14-25 with additional support needs (no diagnosis or label needed) and their parent or carers. Individual support is provided virtually and can fit around family needs, available in term time, school holidays, daytime or evening

Our goal is simple: To put young people first and help you get the right support at the right time. We work alongside Scotland's plan for helping all young people do well (called Getting it right for every child - GIRFEC).
