
Sensory environment checks of inpatient units
Our team, led by our highly skilled Autistic Associates, carry out environmental sensory assessments in hospitals.
The current Autism Programme at NDTi emerged through the Care Education and Treatment Review process
Numerous hospitals (ATUs) were unable to accommodate reasonable adjustments to enable autistic experts to take part.
The team shared their concern for the people who are detained in these environments and asked us to consider how their needs are being met, if theirs couldn’t be.
Our work is led and shaped by Autistic Experts and Associates lived and professional experience of neurodiversity which is still very much misunderstood in health, social care and education settings.
