Sue Turner

Sue trained as a Nurse for people with learning disabilities in Bristol.

Sue is a qualified nurse for people with learning disabilities and has worked across health and social care locally, regionally and nationally. She has worked in clinical, management and leadership roles, and was the Valuing People Lead for the South West Region for four and a half years, initially job sharing the role with Carol Robinson.

Sue led the Improving Health and Lives (IHaL) project for the National Development Team for Inclusion for three years, before moving on to be the Learning Disability Lead for the NDTi.

Sue has published widely, including many journal articles, a couple of book chapters, evidence into practice reports for IHaL, and the early reasonable adjustments guides.

She is keen to support and share good practice and continues to facilitate the well established South West health network in her associate role.
