We undertook this review during 2021/22 in partnership with Bringing us Together, the Challenging Behaviour Foundation, People First Independent Advocacy and Speakup Self Advocacy.

This review was commissioned by NHS England as part of their Spending Review mental health recovery funding in 2021/22.

We were asked to find out what was getting in the way of people receiving effective and timely independent advocacy as well as identifying factors which enable advocacy to work well.
