Survey to Explore a Supported Internship Quality Kitemark

We want to know your thoughts about creating a quality kitemark for Supported Internships

Exploring SI Kitemark

We want to know your thoughts!

As part of the Internships Work programme, the Department for Education has asked the British Association for Supported Employment (BASE) to evaluate the potential of creating a quality kitemark for Supported Internship provision and gather evidence for the benefits and disbenefits of this kitemark system.

We would like feedback on this topic from colleagues, providers, commissioners, educators and supported employment agencies to hear as many of your voices as possible! We will listen to everyone's opinions carefully, so please do take the time to give this topic some thought and share those with us by completing this short survey: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/7B3NFTH

This survey will close on the 31 July 2023.

Additional Information

  • A quality kitemark would confirm that a provider's Supported Internship provision is of a verifiable standard, providing trust and confidence for stakeholders in the quality of the provision on offer.
  • This would take the form of a symbol that can be added to marketing and published materials advertising the quality of your provision both internally and externally from your organisation.
  • Through Internships Work, BASE has launched the Supported Internship Quality Assurance Framework (SIQAF) which can be used as a self-assessment tool for providers and their partners. This supports continuous improvement to strengthen your Supported Internship provision. You can view and download the SIQAF self-assessment tool here.

If you have any questions regarding the survey or potential quality kitemark, please email BASE's Project Manager, Amy: Amy.Martin@base-uk.org
