Change that leads to better lives

Making sure a person’s voice is heard - catching up with Emerald

In this podcast Emerald talks to Julie Pointer (Children and Young People Lead at NDTi) about this year’s topic of partnerships and making sure a person’s voice is heard.

Emerald

Emerald has lots of experiences as a young woman with a learning disability and has dealt with mental ill health over the years too. Emerald shares her experiences of where she hasn’t been listed too and her voice hasn’t been heard and the impact that had on her wellbeing. She also gives her own insight into how things can be managed differently with small adjustments to make big differences.

Last year Emerald wrote a blog 'Me, Myself and Advocacy' for Advocacy Awareness Week - you can read it here
