Topic 4: Different ways to vote

Easy Read guide for young people on the different ways you can vote.

Whenever you vote, there are three different ways you can vote:

1) In person at a Polling Station.

If you need help to vote in person then you can ask for help from the Presiding Officer or you can bring someone with you who is over 18.

They will need to fill in a form that the Presiding Officer can give you.

2) You can vote by post, this is called a Postal Vote.

3) You can vote by Proxy.

This is where you tell someone who you want to vote for and they vote for you.
