Children and Young Person's Advocacy

A short film from Empowerment about their advocacy hub in Blackpool.

Blackpool Advocacy Hub at Empowerment, have launched a new Children’s Advocacy Service. They have collaborated with its service users to create a video around what they do and the impact they have had.

The video is introduced by Amanda, an independent advocate, from Empowerment.

“Here at Empowerment we put together a focus group made up of children and young people that used our service. The aim of the group was to design a promotional campaign to launch the Children’s Advocacy service. The group designed a logo, a poster, leaflet and video. They made the promotional materials child and young person friendly and included all the information they thought would be essential to people looking to access our service. The video centres around why advocacy is important to children and young people and is designed to emphasise the important role an Advocate can play in getting their voice heard.”
