Deinstitutionalisation is a Global Challenge: Roundtable event

The closure of long-stay institutions, whether in Slovenia, France, Sweden, or the UK, all depends on having good quality, person-centred support in the community, able to enable people to live independently and to be included.  For some, personal assistants may work; for others, often those with more individual and complicated support needs, an organisation may be best placed to offer the support needed.
