200 Lives

Research into residential and supported living for adults with learning disabilities, focusing on inclusion, support, and wellbeing.

The National Institute for Health Research funded Manchester Metropolitan University in partnership with National Development Team for Inclusion, London School of Economics and Changing Our Lives to do this research. This project has now come to an end and we are pleased to share the following resources:

We would like to say a big thank you to the people who took part, the staff who supported them and completed the questionnaires, and the family members who completed the family survey.

Small Margins report

Working with people with a learning disability and autistic people from minority ethnic communities.

During Autumn/Winter 2022, two of the 200 Lives partners, Changing Our Lives and Manchester Metropolitan University, joined on a project called Small Margins. This project worked with people with a learning disability, autistic people and their families from minority ethnic communities who either lived in their own home (supported living), lived in residential care, or were moving out of inpatient hospital settings. This work is an extension of the original 200 Lives project.
