This case study from City & Hackney CCG published today provides Top Tips to others looking at how to introduce Personal Health Budgets (PHBs) in their areas. Having that process already in place has meant the CCG were able to respond more flexibly to the individual needs of local people during Covid19.
This case study is part of a qualitative evaluation across various sites participating in a national evaluation of Mental Health Personal Health Budgets (PHBs).
PHBs are a way of introducing a greater degree of choice and flexibility into supporting a person’s mental health recovery. Everyone has different circumstances, needs and interests and the ways to support people to keep well are different for each individual.
NDTi have also worked with people with lived experience in both City & Hackney and Birmingham & Solihull to explore the impact that PHBs have had on their lives. Their stories will be published later this year.
