Resources and recordings from the Spotlight on Supported Internships event that took place on 18th May 2023.
On Thursday, 18 May, NDTi , the Department of Education, and Family Fund joined together to host the webinar “Spotlight on Supported Internships”, a webinar aimed towards parents and carers of young people that are preparing for adult life.
The 90 minute webinar was attended by over 450 participants who had the opportunity to listen to personal experiences shared by supported interns, and family members of supported interns. These stories highlighted the benefits of internships, offering valuable insights and lessons. Government representatives also provided information about the government’s investment in supporting more young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in finding work. The webinar was recorded, and below you can see all the presentations from the day.
