Our selection process

Members of the Older People's Sounding Board stood in a row holding statement signs.

This is a significant appointment for NDTi, and we want our process to reflect who we are. It will be structured and fair, but also thoughtful, human and grounded in our values.

We want to understand candidates from different angles. Your application will help us understand your experience, motivation and examples. Later stages will help us understand more about how you think, communicate, use judgement, work with others and respond to complexity.

We also want you to get a real sense of NDTi. Our shared Co-Executive leadership model, our values, and the way we work with colleagues, associates, partners and people with lived experience are central to this role.

After applications have been reviewed, selected candidates will be invited to take part in a range of selection activities. These will include a written task, a presentation and Q&A, a facilitated session with NDTi colleagues, and a final interview with the Selection Panel.

The facilitated session with colleagues is an important part of the process. It is not a popularity test or an informal chat. It is a structured way for us to see how candidates work with others in a realistic NDTi context, and for candidates to experience something of how NDTi works in practice.

We will provide clear information in advance of each part of the process, including what to prepare, who will be involved and the practical arrangements.

It would be helpful if candidates could check their availability for the following dates.
