Today (23 February 2026) the government published a white paper on proposals to reform education for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
We welcome the government’s commitment to a more inclusion education system. Our vision is of a world where everyone matters, and our mission is to inspire an inclusive society where all people can live the life they choose. Achieving this requires a fundamental shift in how we educate and support our children and young people.
At NDTi, we believe that people’s voices must be at the centre of every change. A truly inclusive system can only be designed and delivered in dialogue with children, young people, parents and carers, teachers, and educational professionals.
Over the coming days we will be responding to the detail of the proposals and are committed to being an advocate for inclusion. We look forward to collaborating with the government, schools, communities, and services to turn this agenda into impactful change.
