What are we doing?
We are working on an evaluation of Minority Interest’s cultural competency training.
We want to find out what difference cultural competency training has made for staff and the people they support.
Cultural competency means being aware of a person’s ethnicity and making sure that this understanding is shown in their support.
Ethnicity is a word that is often used to mean things like:
- Where your family originally comes from
- The colour of your skin
- What language you speak
- The food you eat
- Your traditions or religion
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for people with a learning disability who are Black, South Asian or mixed heritage to join our evaluation team.
The project starts in May 2026.
The people involved will be paid for their time.
