![]() | My name is Paul and I am a Vice-Chair of My Life My Choice. |
![]() | The pandemic has been very hard on people as I’m sure you will know. |
![]() | There have been lots of things people have done to keep themselves entertained and happy. |
![]() | Some have been doing diamond art like me. |
![]() | Others have gotten back in touch with old and new friends, families and communities. My blog is about this. |
![]() | An old but great community I have been a part of is my local Neighbourhood Watch scheme. |
![]() | I have been working with them to keep my local area and people safe. |
![]() | My brother is also part of the scheme. |
![]() | Another community I have been involved in is the community of a self-advocacy charity called My Life My Choice. |
![]() | I have supported their young people do a litter pick to help clean-up the local area. |
![]() | I have taken part in their Police Forum along with other members to support those with learning disabilities report things to the police. |
![]() | I have also helped with packing and delivering a monthly mailout to all of their members. |
![]() | A new community I have joined is the Church. |
![]() | I’ve gone to their gatherings and have met lots of new people. |
![]() | The Church and I have helped other people too, like the homeless. |
![]() | I have enjoyed being part of these communities. |
![]() | They have helped me grow. |
![]() | They have helped me keep calm. |
![]() | They’ve helped me learn new skills. |
![]() | They have also given me the chance to help others. |
![]() | I also like to think: if you don’t try it, you won’t know how great it can be. Please take this away from my blog! |
