This December, we are shining a light on some of the incredible work that’s happened across NDTi over the past year. From creating inclusive communities to supporting young people into employment, each day reveals a story of change, collaboration, and impact.
Our 12 Days of Impact campaign brings together real achievements that show how coproduction, person-centred approaches, and partnership working make a difference.

Based on a service in Plymouth, nine people’s well-being improved from average scores of 2/10 to 8/10 and saved the local system £1.5million per year.
In 2026 we will support the development of small supports for people with dementia in Scotland and hopefully a first small supports initiative in Slovenia.

In 2025, 30 people with a range of lived experience attended our bespoke, inclusive research and evaluation Learning Together training. It is aimed at people who do not have a traditional research or evaluation background.

As part of the RISE partnership, we supported five young people with additional support needs to co design and co deliver nine national online training sessions “Preparation for Adulthood – The Voices that Matter”.

This year we supported 92 panel members of Care (Education) and Treatment Reviews in the south of England and delivered 15 autistic led development sessions for panel members and organisations.

The Internships Work programme was extended for a fourth year. We are supporting 152 local authorities in England to enhance their supported internship provision to create sustainable employment opportunities for young people aged 16-25 with additional needs.

Over 200 people contributed to our engagement work exploring the possibilities of creating a new, representative membership body for independent advocacy.

As part of our housing work, we have connected with over 100 parents to talk about their experiences of supporting their family member to plan for housing as they move into adulthood.

We’re proud to continue hosting the Older People’s Sounding Board on behalf of NHS England. A group of 25 people over 50 who are helping shape better, more preventative health services for older people.

Change happens through people. This year, we supported 200+ leaders across care, education and health in the UK and Slovenia to grow their leadership and help build more inclusive systems. Applications are currently open for Leading Change in SEND and AP. Look out for our other leadership programmes in 2026.

In 2025 we recruited eight new transition supporters. In just five months the team have provided online person centred support to 82 young people aged 14-25 with additional support needs in Scotland.

Across Scotland, Wales and England, local authorities report an average 53% reduction in the rate of people needing more formal assessment and support when they implement Community Led Support.
