This Baseline Survey Analysis is a report created by NDTi’s Research & Evaluation team to summarise the responses and key themes from the survey submissions. The analysis gives a national picture of Supported Internship provision including the successes and challenges.
As a requirement for receiving the Section 14 Grant Award from the Department for Education, each Local Authority participating in the Internships Work programme was asked to complete a Baseline Survey. The purpose of the survey was to better understand current activity, successes and challenges around Supported Internships, job coaching and engaging employers. The survey was open from the end of September 2022 until the end of March 2023. All 152 Local Authorities in England completed the survey, with two submitting a joint response due to having shared data across the two areas.
