An opportunity to make a difference

An opportunity to do something radically different

Welcome to the application information for Home Family Community. If you have found your way here, it means:

  • You are based in Angus, on the East Coast of Scotland
  • You are interested in applying for the opportunity to develop a new offer of support for people with dementia and their families in Angus
  • You understand that this new offer is an alternative to residential care, and this means there will be good days and difficult days

You are welcome to download a copy of the Application Form where you will find more information about the project and all our hopes for a new offer of support in Angus for people with dementia and their families

On Monday, 7 September, we will be hosting an open evening at one of the Angus Meeting Centres between 6 – 8pm.

Register here

There will be refreshments, members of the project Steering group will be attending, and we will also be joined by Sam Smith (C-Change) and Dave Barras (Positive Support for You), two leading figures in the ongoing development of small support organisations for people with complicated support needs across the ages. Sam and Dave are both CEO’s of small support organisations and will be sharing learning, lessons, highs and lows of establishing a new offer of support.

Please register here for these events. We will confirm the venue for the Open Evening to those who register when arrangements are all made.
