Rights based analysis of proposed social care reforms

NDTi is pleased to be working in partnership with the British Institute of Human Rights (BIHR) to carry out a rights-based analysis of the proposed adult social care reforms in England, Scotland and Wales.

EHRC Rights Based Analysis 01 01

This work was commissioned by the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) to help inform their future programmes of work.

The team is carrying out an evidence-based review of key documents using the established PANEL principles to structure the analysis. This helpful video from the Scottish Human Rights Commission explains a little more about PANEL.

We are also interested in the views of a variety of people on the reform proposals, including people not often included in policy development or implementation. We want to know what people think about the social care reform proposals in England and Wales. Will they enhance the human rights of people who draw on social care? Will they protect the human rights of people who work in social care? If you have 10 minutes to share your thoughts please go to our short survey.
