Change for Inclusion is a programme of tailored support for your local area to develop your SEND inclusion plan, policy, strategy, and practice to transform and refocus your SEND system. The programme includes a range of activity based on local evidence over a two-to-three-year timeframe, codesigning a framework for inclusion and what belonging means in practise for your local area.
You may be a local area SEND team looking to understand what your next steps are to develop SEND services for the children and young people in your area. You may be a SEND team who knows the changes you want to make and are looking for support to make those plans a reality. Whether you are responding to local area inspection or seeking support to invest national funding for change, Change for Inclusion can support you take the next step.

Change for Inclusion works with all stakeholders in your local area involved in supporting children and young people with SEND as well as their families and carers. The site lead will be driving the change in partnership with NDTi to facilitate work with schools, parent carer forums, health and social care teams, specialist professionals such as Educational Psychologists and any local organisations involved with supporting children and young people with SEND and their families.

Programme structure
Change for Inclusion has two programme streams:
Getting Ready for Change
> Data analysis of where your area sits against SEND policy and practice within the context of national and local issues and challenges with a range of local stakeholders. (On Site / online)
> Listening exercises to understand the lived experience of local stakeholders in your SEND system. (On site)
> Design of action plan and impact framework. (Online)
> Vision day for inclusion for senior leaders, including elected members, families, and young people. (On site)
