I am passionate about levelling the playing field for young people with SEND and helping them to live as full a life as possible.
I started my SEND journey supporting young people in schools, then moved into supporting SENDCOs before working in the special needs team in the local authority. This, alongside personal experience of SEND has helped to create an understanding of the journey of a young person with SEND from birth to adulthood and the challenges that may arise. I am an advocate for young people and want to ensure their voice is heard by those who make key strategic decisions.
When not in work, I enjoy being outdoors on a bike usually, as well as playing guitar in the two bands I am part of.
