A range of previous job roles has included being the independent Older People’s Commissioner for Wales, and Chief Executive of Carers UK. Heléna has also led and contributed to a number of UK Government advisory groups with topics covering care and support, housing, dementia, carers and healthy ageing.
Alongside being an NDTi Associate, Heléna is chair of the British Society of Gerontology Special Interest Group on Ageism and a trustee of Independent Age.
In her spare time, Heléna loves to walk and explore the beautiful countryside around her home in the Welsh Borders.
