Since qualifying as a social worker in 2001, Clare has built a career across housing, health and social care, commissioning, community development, policy and influencing. At the heart of her work is a strong commitment to social justice and human rights, which continues to shape her approach and priorities.
Clare is particularly passionate about the role of housing in helping people to live full and meaningful lives. She has long championed greater integration between housing, health and social care, recognising the vital contribution that a safe and suitable home makes to wellbeing, self-determination and inclusion.
Clare is known for promoting the importance of housing within health and social care contexts. She equally advocates for disabled people and those with care and support needs to have their housing requirements and aspirations properly understood and reflected in housing policy, planning and provision.’
