Carol is an independent research consultant based in Scotland.
Carol Haydn

Carol has worked with NDTi since 2015. She brings deep expertise from roles in government, academia, and the voluntary sector, with a focus on community regeneration, equalities, health, and partnership working.

Her career highlights include leading area coordination in Coventry to address deprivation, evaluating the national Better Government for Older People programme at Warwick University, and heading research on neighbourhood renewal for the UK government.

Carol is passionate about using evidence to improve outcomes for citizens. She specialises in research design, evaluation, and stakeholder engagement, and is known for her facilitation skills that inspire collaborative working.

At NDTi, Carol has contributed to evaluations of Community Led Support, Preparing for Adulthood, Campaign to End Loneliness, Rural Wisdom, and the Royal Society for Blind Children’s Families First programme. She also led engagement work in the Scottish Borders on their strategic health and social care plan and authored a key narrative on workforce race equality for Skills for Care.
