Supported by the Integrated Personal Commissioning team, the NDTi is facilitating action learning sets for commissioners responsible for delivering change under Transforming Care.
Our approach to action learning is that participation in the process must be by choice with participants setting the agenda and pace. Unexpected conversations often deliver the most important outcomes and shared learning should develop into shared working. We have supported action learning as part of our work developing coproduction, commissioning and community led social work and support.
The Transforming Care learning sets are to give local commissioners, who often work in relative isolation, an opportunity to identify and address shared concerns, explore and understand best practice and implement local change. We anticipate that sets will focus on the commissioning process, young people and improving the quality and availability of positive behavioural supports.
Sets in the South West and London & South East began in September 2016. Sets in the North and Midlands are planned for spring 2017.
