Reasonably Adjusted? MHS and Support for People with Autism and People with Learning Disabilities

Abusive practices at Winterbourne View, uncovered by Panorama in May 2011, resulted in the Department of Health recommending that organisations "build understanding of the reasonable adjustments needed for people with learning disabilities who have a mental health problem so that they can make use of local generic mental health beds".

Reasonably adjusted? was commissioned by the NHS Confederation and funded by the Department of Health to show how to ‘clarify and embed into practice reasonable adjustments for people with autism and people with learning disabilities in mainstream mental health services.’ See the downloads on the right for more information.
