Well-deserved congratulations were in order for NDTi partners, My Life My Choice (MLMC) at the recent National Advocacy Awards after they won the award for best coproduction.
As one of the judges for the event, our chief executive Rob Greig was one of the first to congratulate MLMC on their achievement, saying “it was a real pleasure to see our learning disability self-advocacy partner My Life My Choice win the co-production award and to see so such enthusiasm for Advocacy Standards in the room.”
MLMC have subsequently published a fantastic blog post detailing their award entry to showcase what award winning coproduction looks like in practise which you can read at http://mylifemychoice.org.uk/how-to-do-award-winning-co-production/
We look forward to our continued programme of coproduced work with My life My Choice this year, which includes working together to design and deliver two workshops for social care staff on sex, relationships and people with learning disabilities. The workshops are commissioned by RiPfA.
