Launching a new series of ‘introduction to research’ papers for mental health practitioners

Published: 30/05/17

We’re delighted to share a new series of 'introduction to research’ papers which we recently produced for Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I).

The Trust funded us to carry out four short scoping reviews of research in the following four areas of social care:

C&I’s academics have a strong track record in research around social interventions for people with mental ill health. The Trust is also keen to encourage Social Work colleagues to pursue their own research interests and is happy to share the work more widely to help others.

The papers do not claim to be a comprehensive account of all evidence available in this area. Instead they are provided for those who are keen to know what research already exists, where to find it and what areas might usefully be further explored.

Vincent Kirchner, Medical Director at C&I, describes them as "interesting to read and…in an easily accessible format”.

For more information on the findings please contact Yasmin Jennings.

Our thanks to Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust for agreeing to share the work.
