Date: Thursday 27th February 2020
Time: 10 am - 3.30 pm
Venue: Taunton Rugby Football Club Conference Centre, Hyde Lane Taunton, Somerset, TA2 8BU
This is the sixth health network meeting for the South West. The overall aim of the health network is to reduce the health inequalities that people with learning disabilities experience in the South West. This is a very broad remit so our particular focus is on:
The health elements regarding people with learning disabilities in the NHS England 10-year plan
The findings and recommendations of the LeDeR project
At this meeting we will be having further discussions about workforce with Rosalita Mainwaring from Skills for Care. There will be an opportunity to share mandatory training resources at lunch time. In the afternoon we will work on general health promotion with Rosanne Sodzi from Public Health England, and consent with regard to carrying out a range of interventions under general anaesthetic. There will also be a range of updates including actions from the last meeting.
We would like to hear from you if there are topics you would like to cover during the meeting. Just contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Who should come?
Senior practitioners, commissioners and managers from health and social care who are interested in the health of people with learning disabilities and who work in the South West.
