This is a very broad remit so our particular focus is on:
The health elements regarding people with learning disabilities in the NHS England 10-year plan
The findings and recommendations of the LeDeR project
At the second meeting we said we wanted to spend more time sharing resources – so please come along with a resource you use/have developed along with a short paragraph about how it is used or anything else it would be useful to share + a headline title (for example - Outline of AHC micro training for GPs). You can do this as individuals or in groups.
We will have an informal ‘market place’ session at the beginning of the day.
We also want to celebrate 100 years of learning disability nursing. I will be in touch shortly about this – but please start thinking about what you might want to bring – and if you are not a nurse – don’t feel left out – we want to what you are all contributing.
In addition, we will be spending some time thinking about STPs and how we can best work with them – and working in groups looking in more depth at:
We will also be talking about the actions identified at the last meeting and any updates.
We would like to hear from you if there are topics you would like to cover during the meeting.
Just contact [email protected]
Who should come?
Senior practitioners, commissioners and managers who are interested in the health of people with learning disabilities and who work in the South West. We also want to invite training managers to this meeting, but we do not know who they are – so we are relying on you to forward this information to them
