Drew Edwards

Drew is a Marketer and designer with over 25 years senior Marketing experience in both the public and private sector which has included projects in education, health, community engagement, IT, renewable energy, social enterprise and tourism.

Before NDTi, she consulted on long term engagement programmes and campaigns including work for NHS Dorset, Dorset County Council, Microsoft, Destination South West, Bournemouth University, Cardiff University, British Solar Renewables and First Women UK.

Drew has a long term health condition that sometimes affects her memory and verbal communication, she feels this strengthens her understanding and insight into her role for NDTi. As a parent carer of an adult son with Asperger's she has also been an active member and volunteer of parent support groups for ASD and ADHD and a campaigner for equal rights in education and employment.

Originally qualified as a graphic designer, Drew retrained with a business degree and then a postgraduate qualifications in marketing when she moved to the South West in the 1990s before entering a career in education marketing and reaching Chartered Marketer status. She continued as a senior marketing consultant and became a fellow of the Chartered institute of Marketing and maintained her chartered marketer status for over 10 years. She has since become a mentor and consultant to hundreds of business and communications professionals across the South West, and was regularly asked to give talks on best practice in marketing for non marketers.

Now a fellow of the RSA Drew is interested in how innovations in marketing, design and communications can help engagement with positive social change messaging.
