Anna Marriott

Anna Marriott became Programme Lead for Research and Evaluation in October 2018.

In 2010 she was one of the team from the University of Bristol commissioned by the Department of Health to run the Confidential Inquiry into premature deaths of people with learning disabilities. She later joined the National Development Team for Inclusion as Project Manager for Improving Health and Lives in April 2014.

Prior to this her work at the Norah Fry Research Centre has included a range of research projects relating to various issues for disabled people, such as decision making, parenting and independent advocacy. She has considerable experience of working directly with adults with learning disabilities and has a particular interest in in issues around health inequalities for people with learning disabilities and other vulnerable patient groups. She previously worked for the NHS conducting research into dementia and memory problems.
