Wellbeing: Evaluating service impact

National MIND commissioned NDTi to evaluate three different mental health organisations in 2009/10 to find out what they thought about the idea of wellbeing. Each organisation began with a very different approach compared to the others. They did have one thing in common – they thought wellbeing was for everyone and not just people using services.


We found that organisations can do a lot to improve people’s wellbeing. However, other big changes in people’s lives, such as getting a job or making a friend, affect wellbeing too.
