Legal Action is to be Taken Against 10 Staff from Winterbourne View
We welcome the news that legal action is to be taken against 10 staff from Winterbourne View (a Castlebeck service) for alleged ill treatment and neglect of people with learning disabilities.
But we must remember the hundreds of people with learning disabilities still placed in secure hospitals - often for many years and usually away from family, friends and community and repeat our call for the development of community alternatives.
