Children and Young People
NDTi work to improve support for young disabled people and their families, our work reflects a cross age, cross client group, community lives approach. The team includes national who bring experience of developing and leading the national Valuing People Transitions and Getting a Life programmes.
While offering a coherent path from birth to adulthood, we are also focusing on three age groups – birth to three years old, four to thirteen and fourteen plus. Our focus includes children and young people with learning disabilities, physical and sensory impairments and mental health needs.
We will engage and support both specialist services for children and young people (and their families) and the wider community. Specialist support includes health and social care teams, transition services and education. The wider community includes clubs and activity groups, child minders and mainstream schools, primary and secondary health services and extended networks of family and friends.
